Colin is a highly experienced commercial property lawyer, specialising in complex asset and land transactions. His client base spans various different sectors, including retail, hospitality and land development.
In addition to his commercial property expertise, Colin also advises a wide spectrum of clients on business and commercial matters, from new business start-ups to mature organisations with significant assets and interests.
Colin studied at the University of New England, Australia and he went on to practice in Australia from 2009 to 2011.
He has travelled extensively, having visited Hawaii, Brazil and the Amazon rainforest in Peru. He moved to the UK in 2010 and went on to be Head of Commercial Law at a large, multi-office regional firm before co-founding Lewis Denley in 2017 with Natasha Lewis.
Together with Natasha Lewis, Colin’s vision for a different kind of legal practice has led to the creation of Lewis Denley, a firm that looks very different to the traditional practice of law. A technology enthusiast, with additional skills and a passion for software development, Colin has led a number of strategic tech projects, including the development of a bespoke practice management system which delivers automation and digital integration for the team’s lawyers and clients alike.
In addition to his passion for travel, Colin’s interests outside of work include surfing and rugby. He coaches the junior team at Horsham Rugby Club, where Lewis Denley is a longstanding sponsor.
